One of the coolest parts of writing this newsletter has been seeing how many people care about what's happening in Phoenixville, and getting to experience that in real life was pretty special. Plus…I’m always game to talk about reality TV.

The Phoenix Wheel officially opens this week, marking one of the biggest additions to the Phoenixville skyline in…well, maybe ever?

The Schuylkill River Heritage Center and Mayor Peter are hosting a dedication and ribbon cutting event later this week. Years from now, the Phoenix Wheel will be a well-known part of Phoenixville. This is your chance to see the moment it becomes official.

Artist Spotlight: Laura Stockdale

I was drawn to the story behind local artist Laura Stockdale's upcoming show, Portals. Several of the featured works were started years ago, left unfinished, and only recently rediscovered and completed. The result is a collection of surreal paintings that feel part dream, part memory, and entirely worth seeing in-person.

Good news: you can meet Laura and see Portals for yourself at Ravensgate on June 5th from 6-8pm.
